FIREWATER / FOAM DELUGE SYSTEMS DESIGN
The main
objective of a Firewater / Foam Deluge System is to provide a reliable and quick means to apply low, medium and high expansion foam solution to a projected area. Foam type is determined by the
flammable liquids present within the protective area which is specified within the Client's active fire protection philosophy. Flare Fire Safety Engineering guide our Clients to provide the most cost
effective solution to meet their requirements.
All of our Firewater / Foam Deluge Systems are hydraulically balanced, optimised and
verified using PipeFlow and 3D modelling software. Friction losses are calculated using the Hazen-Williams formula in accordance with Class and Regulatory requirements to ensure the required density
application rates are adhered to.
